There was no sign of any life at all in the hotel apart from a few people at reception. They refuse to believe me when I say that we were turned away. Looking at other trip advisor reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one who had this happen to me around this time, yet they continue to not believe me when I say that I was turned away. I don't normally get angry, but when you meet people that can be so deceitful and disrespecful it is hard not to. Avoid this place and the Portnosachan Hotel which they also run. … Date of stay: August 2018 Rooms Cleanliness Service Trip type: Travelled with family Not the right property for you? Date of stay: September 2019 Location Service Sleep Quality St. Catharines, Canada 47 contributions 12 helpful votes My husband and I came here to stay in one of the Wilderness Suites (#5 to be specific) for our 3rd year anniversary. We arrived early and were able to check in early which was great. Since we traveled during the off season it was not very busy. The first night there were only two other couples on the property, the second night there were a few more but it was still quite empty overall. Accommodations: Very comfortable, warm heated blanket that each side of the bed can control in the King suite. having a private bathroom and outdoor shower was very handy. We are typically hotel people and not so much campers so this was more of our style in comparison to the shared facility accommodations onsite. I recall reading a review before coming that said people can see into the outdoor shower.... I suppose right next to the tent and where the shower starts there is a gap, but placing a towel on the hook was enough to cover that up.
